O'day has a partial skeg making the rudder
stronger but also a heavier helm
since there is no balancing of the area in front of the rudder
The O'day has less draft
and less ballast indicating it is probably more tender
, but it is also heavier indicating a lot more material in the hull
, ie it is stronger, depending on weight of any liners.
Accomodations are similar, though I have a personal preference for the dinette over the L-settee.
