Especially in the current climate, I would make damn sure that this is true. I was told before that stopping anywhere that is not an official Port of Entry is a strict no-no. By the way, Jonesport is listed as an official port of entry, so you might be tempted to enter there. However, it only clears commercial vessels, not pleasure boats.

Len ("deblen") is a CF member who lives on Grand Manan. He might be willing and able to advise on the current conditions there.

We won't be heading towards Bar Harbor that quickly since we're planning to spend at least 4 or 5 days at the family cabin, which is about halfway between Lubec and Cutler. Cutler is a few easy miles along the coast but Lubec is a circuitous journey.

Does anyone know if it will complicate things if some crew are planning to get on/off and fly to/from the states from Halifax? Are they likely to ask for proof of airfare on entry to Canada or reentry to the US to show that nobody jumped ship?
