Cheechako and Lake-Effect: 6 months later and discovered the rudder mod is fantastic(!) as I can balance the boat, AND, the well does not fill when motoring.

Any experience with this boat, or other Nimble designs would be appreciated.

I have just purchased a Nimble Artic.

She is roomy inside.

The mast weighs 120 lbs. So to lift it you'll need a winch mounted somewhere or more upper body strength than I have or some strong friends. I saw two Kodiaks which had a winch mounted just forward and below the wheel in side the Pilot house. I have seen others on the internet with a winch mounted behind the tabernacle and above the pilot house.

I have built a Gin Pole, works OK, I need to figure out how to keep the winch from jamming while dropping the mast.

I have only had her on the water once, but only on the motor. On a windy lake in Texas, she rode well, but there were hardly any swells.
I'll post more observations as I go along.

Re: Nimble Arctic 26

I took.my nimblle artic out today. Little or no wind so we motored. She has a port helm while motoring. Steering with the wheel take a lot of effort.
