yes it's nice to have your cake and eat it too. On our first cruise 26 yrs ago we rented the house and cruised full time for 2 years. Now we keep the house open for the kids and cruise for 4 to 6 months as each cruising ground has it's season. If you're hardcore you sail to a new cruising ground every season, based on weather. It's a different kind of cruising, full time, less vacation oriented and more lifestyle oriented. The question is do you want to cruise full time or part time? Read some of Fatty Goodlander to decide.
