Needed - Injectors for my Volvo TDM 22

Hello Gang,

Engine was giving considerable black smoke. After investigation, it seems the injectors open too early and dribble... witnessed at a good diesel lab in ... Panama. To add to the problem, Bosch does not allow a rebuild of my old ones.

Called the usual sources, but no trace yet. Does someone here have a source?

There may (or may not) be some similarities with the British Leyland 2 litre engine that found its way into taxis, sherpa van and mondeo cars.

Thanks. I am aware of the similarities of Perkins/Volvo but I've found many differences between the M80T and my TMD22.. such as oil filter base differences .. so the Perkins filters do not fit!

It is interesting to note the Volvo boys still do a refit of these injectors even after Bosch state "do not rebuild".

I'll try marinepartseurope. My problem is more difficult given the US Thanksgiving break... = no answers anywhere.

I have found that putting a part number into a search engine along with the word "Volvo" or perhaps "injector" often returns dozens of hits.

You could also call shops that do nothing but rebuild fuel injectors. See what they have to say.

Thanks everyone... sourced new ones in Belgium at an indecent price but there were a total of 5 on the www... now there is only 1 left.

Found out that Bosch does not allow a rebuild of these injectors.

Will keep the old ones until I go back to UK and have them rebuilt there.
