Greetings and welcome aboard the CF, Rick.

I doubt that they offered much in the way of a manual, but here’s their brochure

Re: 'Need Users Manual 1973 Aquarius 23"

Thank you for your time, I appreciate the help. I have also found that data, and know that there is a users manual that comes with the boat. The owner of the first A-23 I visited the other day, had the manual, the boat was in such bad shape that I moved on and have purchased out of state but the boat will not come with all the misc. that the first boat has, namely THE MANUAL....ha

I hope information about the A series boats surfaces some time.

Thanks again.

Evidently, the Aquarius-owners group has the manual & more.

Another good source of info is Pat Royce's book, Sailing Illustrated. Has lots of that boat's specifics. All of two pages. Not much is really needed. It's a simple, small sailboat and most of everything is pretty much just like a Catalina 22, for example.

Re: 'Need Users Manual 1973 Aquarius 23"

I super appreciate everyone's help, I'm new into sailing, after just coming home from 3 years in Afghanistan, I need to find some peace and quiet with my wife by my side. My power boat kinda was a mess when I returned home, and with gas prices unpredictable, sails is the way to go. Also need an escape route off of Long Island in case the bad guys try to do in NYC again. No joke.. I was there at ground zero when it happened..

Anyway, on the brighter side, I am happy to find you all and this web site, cause I will have many more questions to come. Now let's see.. Port is right or left... right now I think it's something to drink...

Have a nice day all, nice making contact with you..

Rick (MSgt. USAF retired now..) no way.. always ready..

Re: 'Need Users Manual 1973 Aquarius 23"

No more than 3 hrs ago I was on my Aquarius, and could have grabbed the manual! Looks like you found one, though, which is great! GordMay also gave you the links to the owners group, who are quite friendly, and very knowledgeable.

I'd love to see photos of yours, and let us know if you have any questions. The A23 is a great first boat, and we've had a ton of fun on ours.

Re: 'Need Users Manual 1973 Aquarius 23"

the pictures of the boat are available on ebay under sail boats, scroll down and there it is, the interior needs some work, it has a steering wheel on it which I do not know what it does. Writing the owners, they say it does not control the direction of the motor, so I guess it is just there for looks..ha
