I am a trained professional photographer and it's big fun for me to take these images and run these galleries. Just shot a series of images for someone else who is trying to sell his Laurin krysare 32 foot and today i was in Trosa (see below the link and use Google translate!) where a big event was taking place for classic wooden boats, so if everybody would enjoy it, would be most happy to place links to my various galleries. maybe I start a new thread about classic wooden boats and boat events in Sweden on this forum, just for the fun of it?

Monday I am going to the West Coast by train to meet the seller, who already took the boat out of the water and placed it on the trolley / trailor.

I will be present when on Tuesday morning the transport company will come to load it onto the truck. And I will get a lift on this truck back home to the new home port of the boat. Love to escort the boat myself!

I had no idea, but just around the corner in our own local boat club is for sale, also a Laurin, (not Koster, because there is no double ended nose), but the same designer.

32 foot, all wood, asking price € 16500

Not a single person contacted him during this season, so therefore I decided to shoot a lot of images from the boat and help him selling it. (we will place it on many websites here in Europe)

This boat is extremely well equipped for long distance cruising, but the mast needed a major renovation.

I am very curious what all of you think of this one, but for sure, it needs much more work and attention than the one I just bought.

UPDATE: My very first experiences with the Koster!

Sailing: she does very well. 6 nots no problem, easy!
But the engine! I knew, or at least, I felt it was a weak spot in the boat, but hoped to sail a bit before I was going to have a close look at it this winter.

Ha! But not. The very first day long sailing and motoring, guess what? We arrived late back in the harbor and the engine stopped just 10 meters from the jetty. The boat continued and stopped maybe 3 - 4 meters from the jetty. We started to get blown back into the lake, which I did not like, so clothes off, long rope and swimming in the dark to the jetty!

And the engine? Just water inside everywhere! In the oil, in the combustion chamber, everywhere. So we took it out of the boat, brought it to an expert and he took it apart in front of me. Yep, it's coming back to me completely reconditioned, sand blasted and painted as well, so it will be returned like nearly new. Had to drive 500 km to the West Coast to find the best expert in Sweden for these engines.

In short: another SEk=K 15000 (=€ 1500) to get it completely reconditioned + will all bearings replaced and anything else with rust on it.

What was the reason? we think, the engine was hardly used in the last few years, and the rubber seals inside just decided to gave way to moment I started to use the engine more intensively.

Yep, had only 2 day's off sailing so far. Pity. But get the engine back already this week!

Arcona is built in Estonia, atleast the hull etc. The guys in sweden maybe put the boat together...but it is not Build in sweden.
