Hi all I have just repowered and I am running into problem regarding oil cooler on transmission
I sail a 42 maple leaf and the previous engine (Volvo Penta) had a reverse mechanical gear which was cooled the new engine does not have a oil cooler and some people are telling me I may not need an oil cooler on a mechanical transmission especillyina sail boat any advice welcomed as it may cost big in order to add oil cooler tran is MS2B

Re: Muffler

What did you repower with? And have you compared the costs between adding a new oil cooler and replacing the transmission (if you need the oil cooler)?
