Smile Re: Moving a boat from Midwest to Gulf.

If you can get the boat to Tulsa, or Muskogee Oklahoma, you can take the McClellan–Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System to the Mississippi. The McClellan–Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System is well maintained, and there is even a guide for boaters. I took it from Muskogee to Little Rock in a Hunter 26, and the channel was well marked and 8+ feet deep at all times. I would do it all the way to the Gulf if I had the time.

Re: Moving a boat from Midwest to Gulf.

Less hassle buying on the Gulf or FL for sure but... If buying an older boat getting one that lived its whole life on fresh water in the summer and covered in the winter is attractive to me. Particularly if it wintered in heated storage.
