What would I change on the Haber 34?
The bowsprit would have to be retractable. Save marina costs.
Better stern access for the Med. It has amazing single handed lowering of the mast.....lays on the cabin roof for transiting canals.

Other things it may or may not have but I would want.

• Extra electric winch.
• Watermaker
• Solar Panels.
• Dinghy Davits
• Passerelle
• Generator
• A/c heater.
• Get rid of the REAL teak on the deck and put imitation teak.

It is a beautiful boat..... no doubt about it....

There is a place in Warsaw - something like permanent fairs - wher You can buy anything to built or finish the house, from bricks and cement to the furniture and curtains.
Several years ago I spotted there nice cast iron fireplaces. 5.000 Euro a piece. Different designs, but all of them traditional, what suited me well. Included four pieces of marble for finish. Packed in cardboard, and signed: "Made in Ireland". Nice, really, but somewhat expensive for cast iron.
Some time later I talked about this to the friend of mine - architect.
After he stopped to laugh, he gave me address, at small village, not far from Warsaw. I went there, and bought the "Irish" fireplace for 500 Euro, straight from producer.
I paid also 100 Euro for four pieces of granite, which I preferred to a marble. Cardboard packaging and the "Made in Ireland" stamp I omitted...

I visited Poland in the late 80s or early 90s I dont remember which.. I went with a friend who was taking his father home for 3 weeks (dad was Polish lived in U.K. since war II).. Never drank so much vodka in all my life.
I was surprised how all boatbuilding and sea things were being made so far away from the sea!

Something like Bavarias - built far from the sea...

Guess, please, what country has a highest consumption of Polish vodka (per capita)?
To make it easier - Poland has higher overall consumption ov vodka (including imported brands) than said country (so it is not Russia, obviously).
By the way - consumption of vodka is diminishing, I think about 50 % from Your visit

No, funnily enough it is Mexico.
Once upon a time Venezuela was close, but it was pre-Chavez.

Wow, I really like that Haber 34c4 myself... In one of the reviews it says they start at 2677700 SEK when delivered in Poland. If my conversion (Google) is correct, then that's ~402k USD, or 295k Euro.

Thanks for posting that one Weavis - I'm becoming quite a fan of Motor-sailers even if it seems to be a dirty word to some here.

My reason for thinking a motor-sailer may be a good way to go is - They sail fine downwind and reaching, and who wants to bash upwind when you can economically motor in those sometimes uncomfortable upwind situations?

Add in the minimal draft (beachable even), awesome pilothouse, salty appearance (subjective granted), etc... and they really tick the boxes!
