Re: Morgan 40 pilothouse ketch

We have a Sloop not a Ketch.

Apparently our model, 1973 M-40 Pilothouse had a very limited production, we are looking for any and all information about this boat.

Re: Morgan 40 pilothouse ketch

I have a 1971 Morgan Pilot house sloop rigged. In sailboatdata.com look up a Morgan 40 crusing ketch and at the bottom of the page you will see that a Pilot house version was also offered. I believe that there was only 10 of these yacht made.

We also have the same model sloop that looks very similar to yours. It's good to see another one on here!

Re: Morgan 40 pilothouse ketch

We also own a Morgan Sloop 40' Pilot house. "Spirit of Ol' Henry II" I bought it from "Kf4eok". It was in Marathon, then Jacksonville. I will be bringing it to North Carolina to ICW mile Marker #136 May 1st. Please reply back if this note is seen! thx, Jay Denmark

Just saw this post. I have my 72 morgan OI ketch in St Marys boat services yard now. If you're nearby would love to see yours.

Re: Morgan 40 pilothouse ketch

We are in the process of returning to North Carolina on the ICW, but are not too far from your boat. Henry is on the hard in Brunswick, Ga after experiencing an issue with the cutlass bearing. I understand and believe that there were only ten boats manufactured with the Pilot House configuration. We have done a lot to customize ours by adding a water maker, an array of 5 solar panels, a stern davit for the inflatable, and some other things you may find interesting. Perhaps we could at a minimum exchange photos posted to google drive? We'd love to see your Morgan as well. GREAT to hear from you, thanks for reaching out!
