Moorings 37.2 BVI

I am planning to charter this summer with moorings at BVI. We have chosen the 37.2 ft boot which is I believe a Beneteau. Anyway, I have never sailed with one so I am curios about the systems in the boat. Is there any site out there that has a operational manual or any information that could be useful. Moorings seem to have only the marketing slides about it. I guess It would have been nice if the charter companies actually had boat walk through available in YouTube.

like any other sloop ... one mast, one boom, one main sail with 2 or 3 riff rings. One genoa. One engine ...
If you're able to sail any 30+ feet boat, you'll be able to sail a Beneteau
Maybe your lack of experience would requiere you pay an extra for having a skipper, or having some lessons with one before the trip to the BVI. Don't forget summer is the hurricane season too.

The systems on charter boats are almost always pretty simple. And The Moorings will have someone do a complete walk-through of the boat with you before you leave the dock. I really wouldn't worry about it.

Re: Moorings 37.2 BVI

I am comfortable sailing that size of a boat, but no harm in learning things a head of time. When I took the Asa 101 - 104, the instructor had a lot of good tips for specific boat.

I hope I don't face any hurricanes that would be out of my comfort zone time to abandone the boat and head for a shelter.

The best thing to do when it's not your boat
