Moonbird Demasted - 122 ft mega yacht looses mast.

In Marigot Bay today. Apparently lost her rig in the Grenadines. More photos to come.

Carbon fibre mast, 2 million to replace. Minimal damage topsides.

I was thinking the same thing, although I vaguely remember a 45' boat with a CF mast as a $60K option. A 60 foot boat would probably be around $100K.

I'll take the stump off his hands, I could use a new mast and CF would be cool.

That rig is somewhere north of 40m (the mainsail luff is listed at 39.9m), going to be a little more than you think.

here i have my ORIGINAL 1976 wood masts still intact and without any rot, and his new carbon fiber doesnt make it very long--i think i like my rough formosa better.....
