I know hard tops have been spoken about in previous threads, I've read them all. I'm not seeing any modern design monos with hard tops?
Something modern cats do very well is hardtops. I've been surrounded by later model lagoons, lepoards and other cats in recent mths and the designers have done fantastic jobs with making theses hardtops look great. This hasn't always been the way. There's a couple of older cats here with big hardtops, they are functional but in my opinion look like add ons and aren't particularly pleasing to to the eye.
No offence to
monohull owners that have added hard biminis but I just haven't seen many that get the form right, function yes but not as pleasing to the eye as I would like.
Modern monos have great cockpits, my
boat does BUT it's not as functional in wet
weather as I'd like it to be. It should be a big outside room that can be used in all
weather.
Has anyone seen bigger modern monos with asethically pleasing hardtops, either from factory or added later? If so, any photos.
Two that come to mind. The new Amel 50 and the
Beneteau Sense 57 (not a true hardtop but close). Anymore?
