wet locker in the transom....
Fish ??
I do keep a spare anchor for the tender in there!
You can easily bung up the breather line and make it dry.

Yeah not the greatest use of space with the wet lockers but I use them to store extra fuel in jerry cans or fenders (Works pretty well). I would not seal them up unless you some how plan on making them water tight otherwise they would fill with water in rough seas.

I have thought about using these storage areas as a black water tank, and illiminating the tank behind the port cabin, this would give me a great place to put a genset. I was wondering if anyone else has done this.

How decision has been to go with a Bene 393 year 2002. We took delivery 2 months ago in NC and brought her to New York and the up the hudson river to our lake. The trip was perfect and the boat was well above our expectation.

Nice pick! In case you don't know of it, there is a Yahoo Group for fellow 393 owners, set up by Vasco from CF. Hope to see you there:

beneteau393 : Beneteau393 Group

I'm already a member of that group. It's awesome the amount of information we can find there. Also this is one of the reason why we choose the 393 for wealth of information that we can find and all the good things that owners of 393 have to say about there boat and I can totally understand what they say as I'm also very surprise how the boat handles and more. So far we are very happy of our choice.

Congratulations on your choice. The 393 is an excellent boat. ( I may be biased!)

I have a '93 400. I think the wet lockers are intended for snorkel gear. We've chartered some newer Bene's in the islands and they had the same transome wet lockers. That's what we used them for. Dump the masks, fins, and snorkels in them and hose off with fresh water from the transom shower hose.

Rocketman, that's a good thought about locating a genset in the space behind the port cabin. May look into that one day.
