MARINA LANZAROTE - NO MORE DISCO!!!

Yes, it is true, the disco in Marina Lanzarote seems to have stopped!

Is this the one in Aricife with the under water statues? Stayed there in October last year and there was massive party going on with large stage and live bands.

A group of us very well inebriated scaled the fence of the trampoline park and all kinds of mayhem went on. The funniest part was watching people try to flee when the police came.

Um, let me think..... Heck yes this is good news. The southern end of Marina Lanzarote was blighted by a fri/sat night disco that went on until 6am, loud does not do the word justice! The spinning of car wheels, the shouting and people urinating in the marina (onto boat and dinghies next to the wall!). shouting and screaming etc etc...get my drift? It always sounded like the disco was on full blast in bed with you, and though I like my music loud, this was not music....

Complaints were made by many people, but nothing done by the marina itself. It seems that Kopas Lounge Disco is now located at the far end of town by the intercambiador.

As for an alternative watering hole, if you knew Lanzarote you wouldn't have to ask, there are numerous places at great prices - so to reiterate - heck yes this is great news!

At the risk of sounding pretentious I will update the post. I have now been informed that they (the disco) will return in the new year. But if ever you have been at the southern end of the marina you would know. Thankfully not there anymore - many people had moved on from there due to the noise.
