Marin / McVay

Wondering if anyone has heard of these:
16-foot Marin sailboat - McVay Yachts of Nova Scotia?
Looking around at different things, came across a listing for one but not familiar with its name.
Otherwise, a quick Google search didn't turn up much useful info - is there a "random boat info" site out there I might check?

I checked the Nova Scotia Boatbuilders Assoc. and there is no boat by that name and no McVay listed as members.

I googled too .There is really not much out there on the Marin . It seems that after the death of G. William McVay the company MC Vay Boatworks ceased to exist and the molds were sold to Minto. He also built the Mic Mac and he was responsible for the Bluenose replica design in fibreglass. But that does not help you with the Marin haha.

Does this help you though? Victoria yachts is an enterprise of one of the Mc Vay sons .

Hello, I just acquired a 1973 McVay Marin day sailer that formerly belonged to my father. It hasn’t been used in many years but I just had the bottom repainted. I am having difficulty remembering how to rig the mainsail sheets (ropes) and notice that it does take in some water. Do you have pictures of your rigging? Any comments about the water intake? Thanks.

Re: Marin / McVay

Could we be talking about the Mc Vay “Falcon” by any chance?
