Maltese Falcon Details

For those who are in to details, this is a good link with 3 great pages of photos and specifications:

What a monster boat!

Aesthetically, I think it looks a bit brutal. Technically it is impressive, but it does look like the b*****d offspring of a motor yacht and a junk. To me it lacks the graceful lines of many of the "normal" yachts I see here on the forum and elsewhere.

If I was going for something like that I would go for a pure power boat.

The Nordhavns look good.

The book "Mine's Bigger" is a pretty good read. Amazon.com: Mine's Bigger: The Extraordinary Tale of the World's Greatest Sailboat and the Silicon Valley Tycoon Who Built It (9780061374029): David A. Kaplan: Books

Kust one of those Pascoe ribs on the bow are $200k and longer than our yacht

Whatever else the boat may be - it is very fast under sail. I watched it sail away from the docks at Falmouth Harbour (which happens to be where I am currently posting this from) and it was impressive. See The Maltese Falcon for some pictures

Wow, with a 20' draft, with the board UP, she might be somewhat limited in your neighborhood marina!! She sure occupies one end of the spectrum, all by herself.
