Maintenance cost difference

Hi Guys, would this Blue (C-Flex Fibreglass) Roberts 36 be considerably Cheaper to maintain than the White F/Glass Roberts 38, or would there be nothing in it as we're only talking a difference of 2 feet. That's saying if both boats were in equal condition...

Re: Maintenance cost difference

Colored boats require more upkeep than do white ones, generally speaking. And it looks like the blue one is in need of a "make over", as it is.

Also, the blue one has dead lights/ports in her topsies. Which are notorious for leaking.

That, plus her chainplates are directly afixed to the hull. And such are more prone to leaks than ones which penetrate the deck, & attach to interior structural elements.
I can't say with any certainty if the ones on the white boat are mounted differently, but if they are, then that's another strike against the blue one.
