after 5 years of fighting sold my apartment and found this Steel Sailingyacht Feltz Scorpion for sale Whites International Yachts (Mallorca) any advice is welcomed good or bad thanks.

Looks great. I don't want to appear mean, but as a former steel boat owner it cost me more than I could imagine. Please do some research on steel boats, They rust out on the inside out. They need to be meticulously maintained. Please have a complete inspection. If you cant see a part, then it is rusted. I love steel boats but they do have problems. Paint and bond-o hide a lot. Get some more info and keep your eyes open. Best of luck and happy sailing!!

we will do a complete inspection thanks for the hint all have advantages and disadvantiges it will cost me less to have a complete check by a company like BRUMED MARINE SURVEYORS, a good check out with certificate for the insurance costs a bit but can save in the end but it has been looked after and has most don't need to add much.

THANKS all couldn't find any really negative points to put me off.

Congratulations on your purchase she looks a nice boat. Equally the Balearics offer some interesting cruising spots in Minorca and Ibiza.

I too have a steel boat which the previous owner/s ensured had a good initial paint system inside and out which I augmented. So assuming you have similar then its a simple discipline to regularly check and then correctly deal with any localised problem expeditiously.

thank you all so to go after your answers i have not made such a bad choice after all ( only the point about that it can rust ) like the owner

old and rusty, but it is well equipt, which for me is a point, i do not just want to stay in the med as i know most places i would like to go down the red sea as i have been there also a lot and liked it. Here boats are expensive and good ones at a resonable price is hard to get. but again thank you all for taking the time to answer.
