There is a 458 called Nine of Cups that has been cruising 11 years or more I am sure they would give you a report on this model. You can find them in SAilBlogs on the right of the screen about half way down. I have sent this as not many people have heard of the Liberty 458's and 49's but I dont think there are any 49¡s on the market at the moment.

Yes, if you want the Pirate Ship, the Liberty is exceedingly well built in many ways. Ta Shing I think? I had cruising friends with one....

You would likely be much happier by spending less on a smaller boat. And one that won't be a maintenance nightmare that can break a grown man's back.

Something to find out about: have the fuel and water tanks been replaced yet? Often there is a whole lot of the interior that has to be removed to get access to the tanks. If this is work that you would do personally, that's one thing, but paying to have it done will be costly.

Personally, not a fan of Taiwan built boats, due to the variability of their construction, but lots of people love 'em.
