Liberty Pied Piper

Hello all...

I am interested in this 1984 boat that is listed on Yachtworld in NC. Very little information can I find about this boat. I like her looks, and looks like it may fit my requirements for the near future (singlehanding in the FL Panhandle area). May be similar to an Island Packet in her performance?

I am a somewhat experienced sailor, but I haven't sailed for 15 years and at this point would consider myself more of a novice. Also, I am 67 years old, but in pretty good shape.

I would greatly appreciate any comments or opinions.

As I am new to the forum, I am not permitted to paste a link, but...

I enjoy this forum greatly, and hope to be able to contribute. Thanks in advance.

Re: Liberty Pied Piper

I see that the sailboatdata.com listing for this vessel has the construction identified as "wood/fiberglass". This would be my primary concern for finding out more information. I don't know if this means that the hull is fiberglass with a wood deck and cabin trunk or if this is a wood hull that has fiberglass laid over it.

Either way, it might be worthwhile for the price.

Howdy.
That is a nice looking boat. I like what I see in that one and the other listed on Yachtworld. It is so nice I am going to post that type in another thread. I particularly like the interior and for a small cruiser it looks very nicely made. I like the bronze opening portlights and the tiller (one has wheel) and the wood finish and furniture. I don't mind the open plan and would prefer that for such a small boat. Looks very good. And the price is lower than what I would expect for that too.
