Know Anyone Cruising with a Hunter 34?

I am looking to purchase a Hunter 34 from mid 80's.

I will use it for long distance cruising in warm waters.

I am looking to get in touch with cruisers who cruise in a boat just like this to ask some questions.

Does someone know of someone, maybe with a website??

Thanks.

My wife and I cruised the Bahamas and eastern Caribbean for 2 1/2 years (1999 - 2002) on an '83 Hunter 34. She served us well and in good condition these boats make an excellent platform for this kind of island hopping style cruising. They are lighter weight, comfortable, roomy, easy to sail, and fast. They are also tender which is common in boats that are fast in light winds. And they are not particularly good performers sailing dead down wind because the swept back spreaders will not allow the mainsail/boom to fully extend perpendicular to the hull. However, even fully loaded for cruising, they will sail away from many bigger boats on a light to moderate wind reach.

However, they are all old, so condition is everything. Typical problems are hatch/port leaks, mast step/compression post, and all those other things that tend to wear out on older boats.
