Alright, so I bought a 1974 Ghost 13 sailboat a few weeks ago and sailed it several times and it is all great, seems like an awesome little sailboat to learn on. Problem is, last time I used it somehow the turnbuckle for the front cable of the standing rigging
got loosened and fell off on the road while driving. After hours of searching for it, on the road and a new one (online and locally in NE OH), I can't find what I need. Does anyone know of any places for finding parts
for small sailboats like this? It has a 3/32" cable, 1/4" pin, and what measures to be a 7/32" thread 28 thread per inch turnbuckle. West Marine
doesn't have any, and I'm thinking I may have to buy something new and attach (swedge?) it to the cable. Is that hard? I just was having trouble even finding threads to match up to it at any local hardware
stores to rig anything up, and I know its pretty critical to be strong enough since it's keeping the mast
Thanks for any help and suggestions.
