It's a Boat . . . It's . . .

We had a photograph image imposed on the icing of a cake for my Father's-Day cake a couple years ago (photograph thanks to Diane Beeston.) Dad said: "It's a boat ... it's MY boat!" His boat was Columbia Defender hull no. 60, masthead sloop, Stephen-Stevens-designed with an Atomic 4 auxiliary gas engine, here pictured during a race in the San Francisco Bay with DeWitt sails, sailing handicapped in the Cruising Club D class.

Photo was taken in the 1960s with San Francisco in the background. I'm the dark object at the cabin hatch checking sail trim and looking out for starboard-tack boats.

I wonder whatever happened to hull no. 60, which I had named Seeadler (Sea Eagle).
