ISOtherm 130 Classic Problems.

ISOtherm 130 Classic Question....The ice box pretty much became a solid piece of ice during the last two weeks. We defrosted it today by placing hot water bags in the fridge. We have the ASU module and i have it set to manual with coldest temperature . It has now been running on economy/freeze mode for a few hours now- and the fridge temperature is only 50. Pretty sure our sour cream will turn to cottage cheese if this keeps going. IDEAS .... it should be much much colder!

The compressor is running.

Any ideas?

Check that the door closes properly and the seal is ok. Put a light inside at night to check seal leakage because excessive frost / ice build up indicates either humid air leaking into the cabinet or a shortage of refrigerant gas, (Has a gas leak). This fridge looks like a very minimal beast! Thin walls, aluminium cyclic evaporator, and BD35 compressor (small for 130 litres front opener) and no doubt a condenser that does the job on a cold day, so don't expect too much!
