If you can get a well maintained non-blister Valiant...well that is what I ended up with in 2008 and have never looked back. She's solid in a storm and glides easily across the
water in those moonlight breezes. My
family loves to sail on her and being a 40 yo
boat I love to
work on her
. No teak decks but lots of teak inside. Everything is accessible except the
fuel tank, had to
lift the
cockpit floor to do that (but it was not as hard as I thought it would be- did the whole thing in two weeks)
In short- does nothing perfect but everything well.
