Hello everyone,

I just purchased a 1969 Irwin 31. I have sailed on Irwins before but this late of a model. I purchased the boat as it is a keel centerboard. I do not do any real off shore sailing anymore just coastal.

I was wondering if anyone else has a similar boat with any advice on maintenance problems etc...

It is definitely nice to have the room onboard as compared to my old Rhodes Meridian Seafarer, through the 25 foot Seafarer was a nice boat except for the use of an outboard in a well. The design of the boat made using the outboard difficult in steep chops and many times running inlets. Now I have a Volvo diesel inboard for an axillary
