Info on Morgan 35?

Considering taking a look at a Morgan 35 here in St Thomas featured on Yachtworld. Saw a post on sailnet to check mast step and rudder post. Recently re-pwered with a yanmar. It's a centrboard model that's had it removed and sealed, so is windward performance comprimised?

Yes - the windward performance will be compromised - how much - ask any current owners of this type of boat on this site or other sailing sites. Maybe there is a Morgan owners site you can make an inquiry on.

We have a Morgan 35 with a pinned board and it does hurt the pointing ability some, it was not as much as I thought it would be though. The boats sail very well for what they are. Ours also has been repowered with a Yanmar. PM me if you want more information.
