Ignition switch guard

My ignition switch key is about knee high on my console and I keep hitting it with my leg thus bending the key. The key broke off in the ignition switch the other day. Finally got the broken key out. I'm looking for a cover or guard to mount over the ignition switch so when the key is inserted it protects the key. I've looked on line but can't find anything. Does anyone have any recommendations to where to get something that will protect my key from my big fat leg!

Can you put a 90 degree bend in the replacement key where it exits the lock, so it's not a problem anymore?

Ever think of moving the switch? If you get a fail safe guard, you may hurt the knee.

Remove the key when the engine is off.

Replace the key with a simpler switch that doesn't extend, put the key in the circuit down below or just use your companionway hatch as the lock to your 1-2-B mains power switch or switches.
