I don't think the 46 had portlights forward in the hull, in line with the rubrail ?

Re: Identify a sailboat

Irwin 52 is a really close match according to sailboatdata. The displacement at 55,000lbs. is what has me scratching me head. Is that not really high for a 52'boat? The ballast (lead I guess) alone is 16,000lbs. The disp/len ratio of 288 is in the racer category? Huh?

Are these known as solid boats good for the oceans or are they coastal cruisers?

Re: Identify a sailboat

That is an irwin all day long. Agree likely 43 or 46. A 52 has an aft lazerette. So no rear ports. So most likely 46. Ketch nice layout.

Re: Identify a sailboat

Good catch on the rear ports. A 46 then. i'll see what sailboatdata has to say about that.

Re: Identify a sailboat

That’s a lawn ornament. To return it to a usable sailboat would exceed its value.

Re: Identify a sailboat

I think that is an O'day 17. Not positive on that one. I'd plant flowers in it too.
