Hylas 44 Port Lights

I have a 1990 Hylas 44 that I just purchased. It has Atkin and Hoyle(4X14) portlights with a angled spigot(22 degrees). Due to the slope of the cabin sides they do not drain properly. I would like to get new stainless steel ports. I have a Newfound Metals port on board that supposedly drains at 26 degrees, but it appears that it won't have the proper drain angle. The ports on Island Packets look good. The have a drain hole that appears to have about one inch of drop. Nobody(dealer, owners etc.) has been able to tell me who makes them.

Any Ideas?????

Thanks

Re: Hylas 44 Port Lights

Hi Wirehair sailor and welcome to the forum
We have a few IP owners on the forum so someone may know.

These people make custom hatches. I have never used them, but they have a good reputation.

Deck Hatches, Freeman Marine Equipment, Inc. provides the finest marine and specialty closures available. Custom fabricated doors, hatches, portlights and windows.

Re: Hylas 44 Port Lights

I had the same problem with my portholes and the way I fixed it was to drill a very small hole where the water accumulated.
