Hylas 42, Frers - Any Thoughts?

These vessels tick the boxes for us but for the split cockpit arrangements whilst passage making. It is our intention to do the coconut milkrun through to New Zealand from North America.

At times time on the helm is required apart from self-steering. Although one can shelter behind the hatchway dodger you are more exposed aft without a dodger. Is this concern real or more imagined if others have completed passages with this arrangement? A temporary screen of sorts that is quickly detachable may be possible for watches in the aft cockpit? Some Baltics and Swans are similarly organised.

Regards.
