I keep coming back to this boat. I like the looks. I like the layout however some people have said alot of bad about hunters. I've read that alot of people are bias to what they own currently though. I've been looking at a couple of these boats in the late eighties and early nineties. Wondering if anyone on here has one of these boats or sailed some on them? Looking for a less bias opinion i guess. The boats I've seen are in the 15000-20000 dollar range. I know when you are talking about a 20 year old boat there are lots of variables but Im more interested in weather there construction was good to begin with or were they cheaply made? I've also read (maybe just another opinion) they kinda got a bad rap and can be a good value because of this?

Without getting involved in Hunter wars, I think I can say confidently that if you are happy with your Luger, the Hunter will seem quite ok and be a step up in quality and sailing virtues.

The price range you mention seems pretty high for a ~20 yo Hunter of that size, BTW.
