Someone mentioned earlier in the thread that the design waterline is drawn assuming a certain amount of additional load (crew + basic stores). I think your first 1000 lbs brought onboard might sink you to the design waterline.

The design displacement is 5300 lbs total. Any chance you could get a nearby boatyard to hoist her in the slings and get a weight? Then at least you would have a baseline to work from.

They made around 30 of them. Was one of the last production runs, it's rarely known. Basically the same exact boat as the 26, just slapped a diesel prop in there instead of an outboard and changed the interior a tad!
