How do I stop things in the mast making noise?

The plastic cable ties have worked well for ten years. I used very heavy duty ones in groups of four ties at three foot intervals on the wire bundle. Each set of four ties are secured 90 degrees apart and are trimmed slightly longer the radius of the inside of the mast. They create a spring tension when inserted in the mast which holds the wire bundle pretty much in the center of the inside of the mast. Obviously the mast must be removed. The wire bundle must be loomed up, wire ties attached and the whole assembly inserted when the mast is out of the boat and horizontal. Also, I do not have internal halyards.

Spray foam is the last thing I would shoot into a mast! Anybody who has every used it doesn't have to ask why. Lets just say it would be a permanent solution, then you will be pouring solvents down the mast trying to dissove it next time you have to service something or pull new wire.
Maybe if you ran a couple conduits for wiring and halyards then shot some foam, but even then I think it's a bad idea.
Home owners love that stuff, think it's the miracle solution, then they call us contractors to deal with the results! Try pulling a wire that is even partially encased in foam, good freakin' luck! Permanent solution!
