How Can I Know My Boat's Year ?

According to most literatures hinterhoeller 28 started production in 1967.

when I perchased my boat she was sold to me as a 1964 model, and for having seen a 1967 I know mine is older.

Who knows if this boat has in fact been produced befor 1967

perhaps par?

I'm not familiar with your boat, but I went through the same situation with a CAL 20 I owned. The best, most definitive way to determine your boat's age is to look at the Hull Identification Number( see Hull ID Numbers - BoatSafe.com ). You can then figure out the year it was manufactured from either the serial number or maybe date of certification. Unfortunately, they weren't required until 1972 so you might now have one on your fine boat.

Good luck!

G'day, Mate. Sometimes they hand carved them in the hull. My is very difficult to find, even now when I know where it is. Over the years they can get faded and the such. Mine is in the upper corner of the stern in the gelcoat. Cheers.
