Homework using a spreadsheet

Hi,

I'm collecting data as part of my research to narrow down my choices. One of the specs I want to keep track is the Displacement/Length Ratio. Unfortunetly some manufacturers do not provide it, so what I'd like to do is create a formula in my spreadsheet that can automatically calculate the ratio.

Can anyone tell me how to do it?

If the displacement of the vessel is in column X and the length is in column Y, what is the formula that I use??

Thanks!

No seriously?!!

Somebody on here will help you out with that. Plenty of clever folks in here. And I look forward in seeing the reply to your question.
