Holy Cow! It's real

Huge day today for the family. After many years of dreaming and flipping through every book of dreams and website of hopes.....and plenty spent on surveys/inspections of possible "this is the one" ..........we're down to the final out of water inspection today!! Deposit paid, contracts exchanged, and fingers crossed for a positive report from today as our dream slowly becomes a reality. Holy Cow it's scary when the dream it gets close to reality!!!Click image for larger version

I like the name! Holy Cow! A Phil Rizzuto design, no doubt.

Re: Holy Cow! It's real

Just accept right now that:

1) things will be broken that you won't catch in the inspection/survey

2) It will almost certainly be worth it anyway

Congrats on the (very soon) boat ownership. I was very excited to be rid of my last boat. And yet I turned around and bought another one! I don't regret a penny or hour spent fixing my last boat, it was all worth it for the times I had on the water with it. Likewise I'm currently doing some work on my current boat. Totally worth it.

Re: Holy Cow! It's real

Thank you so much everyone for your happy thoughts, encouragement and well wishing, it seems it's worked!! Inspection went well, and yes, plenty of "it'll only be a 5minute job" added to the list hahaha but sale has gone through and the whole family is ecstatic Heehaaa bring it on!!! She's a Gary Mull designed Kalik 44 (also known as a concept 44). Happy sailing and fair winds to all. Click image for larger version

Re: Holy Cow! It's real

Nice looking boat, Racesmart... many happy miles and years of ownership to you and yours.

But when the euphoria wears off, you too will find that there are NO five (or ten, or fifteen..) minute jobs on a boat! Hell, you likely already know that. It is a good thing that for many of us, those jobs, while frustrating at the time, are so satisfying when done!

So enjoy!

Jim
