Herresoff Carribean 50..buying

Can yall share whatever you know about the 50' Herresoff Carribean?

138hp 6 cyl Perkins
Ketch Rig
Pre 80's

Can one man sail blue water OK?
I know not preferred,, but..Able?

there is a beautiful herreschoff 50 sailing soc owned by a friend..he loves his and has sailed it in pacific and soc... on fb he runs sea of cortez sailors group. he may be the best to consult as he has one looks exactly like pix when googled.

Not being a sailing expert by any means at all, but I believe ability to single hand may have more to do with how the boat is set up than the specific boat, so while it may cost some bucks, but a I bet it can be rigged to make single handing easier, many old boats are not rigged so.
