The boat is definitely a Eldridge McInnis design built by Bristol. This boat came out in a variety of deck configurations. The walkthrough to the aft cabin is unique. You can contact me directly if you're still looking for info.

You don't know what you're talking about.
It IS a Eldridge McInnis designed boat built by Bristol.
This guy should not run away from the boat because it has excellent design pedigree and shall continue to hold it's value for a long, long time.

Considering that the last post was in August of 2009, I think your opinion is a tad late.

Re: Help Identifying Center Cockpit Ketch

Just found this and may be too late (it is now March 2011). I owned a Bristol 40 Sea Lion motorsailor , and I can assure you this is the same boat design (somewhat modified). Mine was built for the owner of Bristol Yachts (as a sloop) and a second hull was also built as a motorboat. She was designed by Eldredge-McInnes in the late 40's or early 50's. We owned her from 1995 to 2003 and originally sailed her in Maine, then brought her to the Chesapeake. If you have any questions or want more info, please get back to me. (If you ever receive this)
