Man, I'd never name my boat after my wife or girlfriend. Relationships being the tenuous things they are, at some point you are going to have to pay that $1G to get rid of her name, or spend the rest of your relationship with that boat being reminded of what once was. Or explaining it to the new girl friend.

It just isn't worth the aggrivation.
