Help finding thread

Hi all,

Can someone directg me to a thread about good wood, monohulls for either single-handing or couple crusing. I know this is a pretty specific topic - the wood part isn't essential. I tried using search and came up with a monster number of threads. I guess I still have to get used to the board.

This one might help:

It's kind of scattered around for the most part. Asking a question like that will get you the same answers as if you asked "what's the best religion or political style?"

For me, I have a Hans Christian that I love very much. It has a lot of wood (too much, I'd say), but the hull is fiberglass. I have a friend with a wooden Mariner ketch, and he and I have very different outlooks on our hulls. His is something he has to consider, keep an eye on, etc. Mine is something I paint every couple of years.
