Heading to the Dry Tortugas

Ok so we are ready and leaving tomorrow morning from Charlotte Harbor and going straight to the Dry Tortugas for 4 days and then we're going to go to the keys for a week and then sail home. Should be fun..

If u snorkel make sure you dive the wind jammer wreck. Look for the humongous fish with super humongous lips. There is a ball to tie up to. Be careful of the current , best to have a dingy near by. There is a great little anchor spot on the other side of the sand spit that connects fort Jefferson part to the island occupied by screaming birds. Love that place. Have fun

Love that trip. Any certain destinations in the keys? I got back to tampa about 3 weeks ago to effect repairs. Im almost there and ready to head back.

Wow what a trip we left sat early morning and it was a fog bank all the way till 4pm where we got out of it for about 2 hours and then re entered it till Sunday 7am. It was a amazing sail. 26 hours. The dt were amazing the ice from the ferry was 7 bucks but that's was ok. We left Monday morning at dawn and got to key west at 515 pm. Always love the keys we sailed the east side it was shorter. We left the keys Sunday and got back to the dock in Charlotte Harbor in 22 hours. That was fast. It was a great trip. There was a boat that left Saturday from the keys as the front was weaking it took him 33 hours to get back and he had pics of waves coming over his bow. The front did not weaken like it was suppose to Saturday afternoon.
