A final follow up to this thread. Since there were so many who chimed in.
We finally finished the topside (found a leak in the portlight, so a little rework is in order) and have taken her out several times. Also, we did our first beer can race and finished in the middle of the pack, (5 out of 9) not bad for having no idea what was going on.

Now at least we can have fun in between work days finishing the inside.
