Grand Soleil or Swan ?

Does anyone out there own a Grand Soleil or a Swan?
What are the best and worst bits about them?
And also what are the other makes that are similar to these makes?

Swans have gone through a major set of model changes in recent years - the newer boats tend to be racing ones and the older ones are heavier cruiser/racers and the two types are far enough apart that you should specify which type you mean.

I have been aboard a couple of new Grand Soleils recently with an eye to purchasing and was really impressed with the Italian styling and sleek looks. Just like some race cars that can get speeding tickets while parked because they look fast, the Grand Soleil models at dock look like they are straining at their tethers to get out there and speed away!

had same choice 13 years ago; visited yard and choose an 23 years old Swan 44 S&S

no regrets

*but then again I prefer an old bmw 325 cabrio against any new one as well
