So the early Gozzard's are Bayfields.........so I should expect the same attributes of solid well built vessels..........When did the Bayfields become Gozzards?????????
No, and actually the new Gozzards are better than the old Gozzards with prices to match. A brand new 31 will set you back a whole lot. Things don't stay the same. Bayfields are nice boats but they are all over 20 years old. Any boat that old can and will have issues unless already tended to by a previous owner. They do all have a "well built" attribute but you can't expect the same level from more than 20 years ago as today. No one knew then what most hand built boat professionals know now.
In terms of a made to order, hand built boat, they all share the quality typical of a well built boat of the time. They do share a goal of a boat for a cruising couple with an occasional guest.
