Got my First Sailboat!

Well, the deal is done and I'm the proud owner of a 2012 Jeanneau 44 Deck Salon!!! It's in St. Pete and should be in New Orleans within a few weeks.

Thanks everyone! It was love at first site online! Even my wife loved the pics. It's very modern. My broker was like "you know the wood is very light in color, are you okay with that?" I told him we loved it. I guess some are just old school. Luckily my wife and I are into modern euro design

As this is my first boat and I have minimal sailing experience we'll probably just be in Lake Pontchartrain for the rest of this year. Hopefully we'll venture into the gulf along the coast toward Florida next year and maybe the Caribbean within 2 years! Plus the new baby will be here in about 11 days, maybe before the boat! It's our first... boat and baby!

Congratulations! I am jealous. I love this model, because it has that huge aft cabin although the two cabin layout might not work for us since we have two large children.

Interior is pretty, with lots of windows, and it has a real nav station too.

Decent price too, since it looks like it has a lot of options. Have fun!! The rest of us will join you in a couple years!
