From Vertue to Catalina!

Well!

Having now moved out to sunny Australia, I decided with MUCH regret to sell my beautiful GRP ocean ready Vertue 2! The boat was just sitting ashore in the UK costing me money, so I took a hit and sold it to a very happy new owner!

So... plans are now for just local, easy health limited day sailing with SWMBO, and I have found an older Catalina 27 that needs some work doing on it, but will I think serve that purpose well once it is all back up together...

Does anyone on here have any comments on 'big picture stuff' to issues that I need to know about the Catalina 27 please!

Many thanks,

Pete

197 views and no thoughts?!

As an aside... does anyone on here know who supplies spare parts for the Universal M18 diesel engine in Australia please?

Cheers

Re: From Vertue to Catalina!

All the Catalina's have very strong users groups. Find the one for the 27's. They usually have a list of all the critical mods or updates that need to be done. Should be someone who knows about where to get parts in your area. Have fun.

Paul's right.

Try International Catalina 27/270 Association

No need to reinvent the wheel.

Good luck.

Thanks guys, yup seen that website and others besides...

Looks great in the USA...

Just seems to be very 'quiet' here in Oz... and I cannot find a Universal Diesel spare parts supplier!!!
