Free trade

Am I to understand now that since the Canadian PM signed the trade agreement with the EU, I can buy a European made sailboat, bring it to Canada and not have to pay the duty? Just the regular taxes

Wouldn't get your hopes up for anything, NAFTA proved that to Canadians.

You have to admit that NAFTA really helped exports of our automotive industry. So much so that we were able to export most of the industry itself!

Yep, I live in what was once a manufacturing town, by 1995 they ( GE, OMC, Westclocks....) had all packed up and moved south. We got Costco and Walmart in return.....
